I gotta say, I’m pleasantly surprised by how few domestic disputes I saw at the State Fair today. Good job everyone, let’s fight off those southern stereotypes. One fried food festival at a time…

I also wrote about my 3 day Illinois State Fair experience. Not southern but I believe there are groupies for these kinds of things…
I think there are! Your fair experience seems a lot better than mine. Except we shared the same struggles not finding something deep fried. Ick
I pondered posting the picture of the woman that ate the breading off the corndog directly from the stick, then handed the naked stick dog to her husband that was riding next to her on his own scooter. For real. True story.
Oh… that’s disturbing haha. The fairs always bring out some interesting folks.
That’s really funny!
Too many fried foods aren’t good for you! Then again, neither is breathing… Oxygen eventually will kill us all. I’m going to fight this thing by holding my breath: just until I turn purple ;O)
I am fed up with these southern stereotypes although I hypocritically just posted some fluffy girls at Texas Renfest. The roughest women I ever met were some tourists in Mexico from Saskatoon, Canada. Covered in tats, drinking like fish, a tad fluffy and swearing like dockers. Northern white trash but I had great fun with them,,,:)
Hey, I’m not exactly un-fluffy, lol. But I’m working on it. But the fact you can’t find anything not fried drives me nuts!
You look great! I was 200 lbs and just got very fussy at restaurants, went to WW and suffered…:) I will admit that the food is much healthier on the west coast with normal size portions. When I was back in Scotland recently it was just as bad as here – french fries (chips) with everything! Love your blog. 🙂
Thanks 🙂 And, for the record… I totally share your love for Game of Thrones. I wish it wasn’t so far away
